Tomorrow Saturday (May11th) Sister Chain & Brother John will support new wave goth queen Lene Lovich when she visits Berlin (remember "Lucky Number" from 1978?). Wild At Heart is the venue where it happens.

A.K. HANSN, I LIKE THIS WIND AND AGATA & ME AT HJORTSHØJ FESTIVAL
The weekend after this one the Hjortshøj Festival is on (May 17th to 19th). It's located not that far outside Aarhus, Denmark. A.K. Hansn will be performing there both solo and as part of Singvogel, and I Like This Wind will be there to perform as well. Recently Agata & Me were also added to the bill. What a treat! And there's plenty of other great music on the programme. The location of the festival is the coziest you're likely to encounter and the ticket is cheap. What's not to like? SISTER CHAIN & BROTHER JOHN DANISH TOUR VIDEO AND PHOTO FEATURE
Sister Chain & Brother John spent a few weeks in Denmark touring, recording and doing various things during April - on their Darling Hamlet Tour. We have collected some pictures and put together some videos for you on this page: http://www.sopa.dk/features/028.htm .
Here you can experience them recording the new song "Jacky", see them take on David Bowie's "Lady Grinning Soul" heavy metal style and also recording an acoustic version of Iggy & The Stooges "I Wanna Be Your Dog" with Lenny Davies of Fallen Men. In short: Plenty of goodies!

SISTER CHAIN & BROTHER JOHN "TAKE COVER" TOUR EP
For their Danish tour Sister Chain & Brother John made a new tour EP called "Take Cover". As the title suggest it's all about cover songs. It contains two live recordings of "Hey" (Pixies) and "96 Tears" (Question Mark & the Mysterians) and two studio recordings of "Lady Grinning Soul" (David Bowie) and "N.S.U." (Cream). You can buy it at their shows, but we will also soon have it in our webshop. Curious how the band interpret these great songs? They have done so live more than once, so here's a little taste:

At the just-finished Spot Festival in Aarhus SOPA founder LARS KJÆR DIDERIKSEN showed his documentary "First You Close Your Eyes" two times at the local art cinema Øst For Paradis (East of Eden). The film is about ESTHER MARIA and her recording of her album "The Abyss" with the producer Kramer in New York. She also played at the opening of 'Spot Film', as the film part of the festival was called. The Spot video team caught up with the band and the director for an interview: http://vimeo.com/65280837
